Huzzah!!! It's the First Annual Synergy Writing Contest

Thanks to all who entered the First Annual Writing Contest!!! The entries were creative, interesting and of high caliber.

That's right. The gang has decided to hold a writing contest, with prizes and everything! We will make this an anual tradition, and hope to see it grow and grow and grow. (And grow?)

So, the call goes out to the writers. We are looking for original works in Poetry, Essays/Journal Entries, and Fiction. All works will be judged by non-partipating members of the synergy crew, so there will be no funny business.

We will accept submissions starting right this very second, up to and including August 31st.

Winners will be chosen fourteen days after the close of submissions, September 14th. Winning pieces will be prominently displayed on the Synergy home page.

Prizes:
We will award 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes for each category of Poetry, Fiction, and Essays

  • 1st prize will include a volume of Siddartha by Herman Hesse, one copy of a work appropriate to the category, and a $5 gift certificate to Fuzzy Space Outpost
  • 2nd prize will include one volume of Siddartha by Herman Hesse, and one $5 gift certificate to Fuzzy Space Outpost
  • 3rd prize will be one blank journal

    You may submit as many pieces as you would like to be judged. Please be sure to indicate that your submission is for the contest, as well as the category.
