Breath of Sky

Breath Of Sky

Breath of sky rises in the belly mindfully
Plump with the calm of still-self.
Welcome is the heart here, cherished
In the seat of wholeness
And rooted up to the wind in sway.

The bough curves in strenuous sleep
Over our heads and out to the horizon
In flare of night born from the cloud above.
I can hear the rain yet as the dampness
Comes in scattered rhythms sprinkled
Against our shroud of purple desire.
