Water Tends Fire

Water Tends Fire

Dreams of Flight

Hear the burning hum of the jet engine

And look across the camber of the wing

Shining like a hot-rod mirage.

.

It’s not a wing at all. It’s a diaphanous

External surface- a canyon zephyr- a soul’s filament

By which we breathe the earth and slowly sip the sky.

.

Atmosphere capsized, we flow as paludal travelers

Hiking over pillow palisades of nimbus, cirrus

And the escalator contrails to blue bound sand bars.

.

Tanya,

.

In your eyes I see the galvanic mirror curl to reflection

As the sky becomes your waterway, a beloved Aquarian

Passing in the first sign as it once was sacrificed in Babylon.

.

Resilient flame in an ocean’s depth of truth and love,

Burn bright and cascade over as a fountain. Rise with me,

An Aries of fire conjoined in soul and heart, as one weapon of solace.
