Epiphany

The Struggles in life seem insurmountable to all,

And if I don’t over come them then I will surely fall.

“Life ain’t no crystal stair,” wrote Langston Hughes during a struggle.

I think I need to take things one step at a time and not juggle.

‘Cause if I fall, I may never again stand,

I have no physical being to hold my hand.

Do you? Do you have the one?

The one that compares to none.

Watch your step open your eyes,

Or you may not be able to see the deception and lies.

Fight to stand when you fall,

Or risk being left behind by all.

“Life ain’t no crystal stair”.

Yeah, I know life also isn’t fair.

Struggles will forever go unnoticed by the blind.

Don’t be deceived and open your mind.

Consume all things that are forbidden.

Let nothing stay hidden.

Show it all. “No shame to yo’ game!”

Can’t nobody judge you when ‘dey the same.

Frontin’ like shit’s all cool.

Little do they know you ain’t no fool.

You see and hear all that’s done.

Mean while bitches thinkin’ they havin’ the fun…
