Trio (zen poems) - by Cary Hopkins Eyles
No bitterness
Grapefruit juice dripping down my face
........... Cat meditation
........... The purr

* Take action note:
There is no bitterness
The farmer, twelve years growing
Nothing bitter from her earth.
........... Brings me back
........... I am here
........... In the silence of meditation
........... The sound is loud
........... Though she seems to know
........... The reverence
........... Of the moment
......................... Rustling, clinking
......................... I sit within it
......................... And categorize
......................... Finding organization
......................... In the chaos
eric + I get our fruits and veggies from the Farmer's and Flea Markets in the area. We love going to them and the produce is cheap and so good!!!
We are also lucky enough to have a full recycle drop off across the street (we cannot get curbside at our apartment complex) so that is part of my weekend schedule.
I included the meditation poem because I feel that is a habit which adds to our mental and spiritual health as well as that of the world.
