I Wish!

I wish I were a bird,
Soaring through the sky,
From time to time, I'd swoop down,
And watch people pass me by.

I wish I were a pencil,
Drawing a cartoon,
Creating silly pictures,
To read and laugh 'till noon.

I wish I were a light bulb,
Shining very bright,
And when I get a great idea,
I'd just turn on my light.

I wish I were a mirror,
Clear with your reflection,
Never crack and never break,
But set to your perfection.

I wish I were a television,
Showing you the news,
And when you push the Power button,
I would take a snooze.

All the things I want to do,
All the things I'd be,
All I really want to do,
Is sit and just be me.
